Where it started

Technology, from both sides of the decision.

I got into technology the way a lot of people do: by taking things apart to see how they worked. That curiosity turned into a career, and the career taught me the lesson I still work by. Technology matters only when it makes someone's work easier.

I spent years in the server room. I racked servers and storage, configured firewalls and networks, and built backup systems that had to hold up on the worst day. I moved data centers during tight cutover windows while the business waited for everything to come back online. That work taught me to plan carefully, document everything, and stay calm when a plan meets reality.

Later, I sat across the table from senior decision-makers and saw how contracts and budgets shape what technology can actually do. Some of my most valuable advice was not to buy anything at all. One team was ready to purchase a new security product, but the tools they already owned could do the job with better configuration.

Today, I design practical AI workflows and full-stack applications for Fortune 100 companies, defense contractors, and my own businesses. Across all of them, I kept running into the same three problems: tools without an owner, advice that ignored how the business actually runs, and new technology that nobody tested for fit.

That is why I started Trustology. We are a small, senior team, and when you work with us, you talk to the person doing the work. We roll up our sleeves, fix what slows you down, keep what already works, and document everything so the results keep serving you long after we finish.

If something in your technology is getting in the way, I'd like to hear about it. Bring me the problem, and we will work through it together.

Trust isn't something we ask for. The system should earn it.

Good technology gives your team more clarity, not one more dependency. These four qualities make a system easier to own.

A real build

Since 2018, we've partnered with a local nonprofit food shelf.

Their shopping and inventory ran on paper and on expensive software built on an Access database. We built a modern replacement. Shoppers scan a pantry QR code to register and check in. Volunteers use their own QR code to manage inventory, shifts, and administration.

We use the same method for every business: understand the work, keep it simple, and make it easy to maintain.

Understand the work. Stay involved in the outcome.

Technology keeps changing. Judgment doesn't.

Most problems aren't software problems. They're process problems with software attached. We fix the work first, then choose the tool—not whichever one is loudest this year.

Senior people first. The right team for the work.

You know who does the work and who is accountable for the result. We give direct answers, and we finish the work.

  1. 01Senior lead

A senior member of the team leads every engagement, from the first call to the handoff. You always talk to a person who does the work.

  2. 02Hands-on team

Our small team does the work, usually remotely. We work on site when the budget and schedule permit.
